Adjuntamos el comunicado de FIDE anunciando que el ajedrez será parte de los juegos olimpicos de eSports y que las finales se disputarán en Singapure entre los dias 22 y 25 de junio.
Dear Member Federations,
Chess is part of the Olympic Esports Series, with the finals taking place in Singapore between 22-25 June.
The tournament has now reached the second stage; the Trials. These are open to qualifiers from the Open Qualifiers, and players who hold a FIDE over-the-board title. The trials are 11-round Swiss system tournaments, with the top 4 players advancing to a knockout tournament played at the end of the Swiss. There are 6 Trials remaining, held at 1400 CEST and 1900 CEST each day between 20-22 April. The winner of each Trial advances to the next stage. Players can play in as many Trials as they wish, until they qualify. People who wish to participate register for these as they would with any other tournament on Chess.com. Players should be prepared to join a proctored Zoom call at any stage, and this will be mandatory in the knockout tournament.
Please encourage your titled players to participate in these tournaments.
